Off The Rails debuted their first festival in a laneway in the heart of the Marrickville brewery district, and it went off!
There were so many highlights throughout the day. Listing just a few, the femme soul punk outfit Downgirl were first-up and blew everyone away. Amyl & The Sniffers are still the best live band in the country. Private Function tore Marrickville apart. RVG and Full Flower Moon Band are two of Australia’s most exciting bands. Imperial High Priestest Loz Sutch and her The Neptune Power Federation won over a new flock of fans. The legendary Rob Younger defied his age with his band The New Christs, and quirky punk band Itchy and The Nits has us jumping.
Unfortunately, Amyl and the Sniffers’ set was cut short due to dangerous winds, but I’m pretty sure we caught most of their set.
