Live Nation has been committed to changing live music discovery with their series ONES TO WATCH. Unearthing fantastic Australian talent, the series is set to keep up the momentum with the announcement of the new instalment of the series at this year’s BIGSOUND.
Taking place in Meanjin/Brisbane on September the 6th, this instalment is set to be one of the biggest and brightest yet. The three artists selected to perform at this special ONES TO WATCH Backed by VODAFONE have different approaches to their pop-infused music. Oozing stage presence and musical talent, Live Nation is giving them a platform to show just how much talent lies within the Australian music industry.
One of the artists is Gadigal/Sydney pop artist Ūla has already started making a name for herself, with a strong following of 1.6 million. Supporting the likes of Amy Shark, The Veronicas and Tyne-James Organ, it won’t be long till she becomes a household name.
Yugambeh/Gold Coast indie-pop performer Bella Amor will also be performing. The intriguing and exciting songwriter and vocalist has been turning heads and winning fans since the release of her track ‘Beauty’ in 2020. Soulful, sharp and witty- her music is a deep reflection of life and young adulthood.
The last, but not least, of the three selected, is Kennan Te, a pop songwriter from Naarm/Melbourne. Keenan has gravitated to music since a very young age, learning guitar and piano. Through his TikTok profile, the budding star has captured the attention of superstars such as Meghan Trainor, Addison Ray and Dan + Shay for starters. His original music is what the fans have been lapping up though.
“After last year’s successful showcase, key members of the music industry are already flagging Ones To Watch as a must-see event at BIGSOUND this year. Ūla, Keenen Te & Bella Amor are three artists that we have had our eye on for a while now and are very excited to present such a talented line up, to key industry forces at BIGSOUND,” says Live Nation promotor Paul Lynch, curator of the last three ONES TO WATCH showcases.
Hosted by Tait McGregor, and invite-only, this ONES TO WATCH Backed By VODAFONE event puts these emerging artists in front of an audience of key industry buyers and professionals to help grow their career pathways. Live Nation will also contribute $10,000 to each participating performer to go towards Live Nation-curated touring activity.
