The National to return to Australia in 2024

The National

The National are heading back to Australia, for their first tour since 2018. In exciting news for fans of the iconic Cincinnati band, they will be accompanied by very special guests, Fleet Foxes and Annie Hamilton.

The National will be playing at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Brisbane’s Riverstage, Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre, and Perth’s fabulous Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 12pm, Friday September 22.

In a big week of news for The National, they have also dropped a new album, Laugh Track. It’s pitched as the second half of a double album that began with First Two Pages Of Frankenstein, released in April this year.

Their live shows are extraordinary, so it’s a tour we are very much looking forward to. To make the show even more enticing, the addition of Fleet Foxes makes it irresistible. It’s also their first visit since 2018. They are a band in the upper echelon of indie-folk, and their multiple Grammy award nominations is a testament to this.

The Australian singer/songwriter and guitarist, Annie Hamilton, an AU favourite, will be opening the shows.
