Michael Cassel Group, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Langley Park Productions have just announced that the Ghost with the Most is heading Down Under, with the eight-time Tony Award-nominated hit musical Beetlejuice set to premiere at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre in 2025.

Based on the iconic Tim Burton comedy-horror of the same name, Beetlejuice centres around a newly-deceased couple, the family that take over their home, and the eponymous bio-exorcist they call in to help. Featuring an original score from Australia’s own Eddie Perfect, and directed by Alex Timbers, the show is set for an April 2025 opening.

Perfect said:

“While Beetlejuice began on stage in America, this show has a macabre sensibility and twisted humour that Australians will delight in. I always hoped it would have a life here at some point and I am thrilled that moment has finally arrived. I can’t wait to share it with a home crowd for the first time,”

No word yet on who will don Alex Brightman‘s striped suit for the Aussie premiere, but we do know that tickets will go on sale some time in 2024. Eager theatre-goers can sign up to the waitlist right HERE.
