Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey is the star at what may be Sydney’s most indulgent menu

The more indulgent Sydneysiders looking for the hot new dessert in town are going to want to make a bee-line for Peanut Butter Bar as soon as possible. The Leichhardt eatery has become known for their intentionally OTT creations, but their latest collaboration takes the ca…err..sundae.

For a limited time only, Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey is being showcased by Peanut Butter Bar with a whisky-inspired menu, the highlight of which is the mother of all ice cream sundaes.

That’s the giant sundae, presenting somewhat of a challenge to sweet-toothed diners with a generous serving of crunchy pretzels, triple chocolate brownies, house-made marshmallow fluff, caramelised peanut & chocolate shards, 4 scoops of gelato, caramelised popcorn, liquid warm peanut butter, and nutella. The top all that off, the sundae is served with a 200ml Sheep Dog flash.

It’s been about 4 months since Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey debuted in Australia, and it’s about time an eatery used the very unique creation to tease out an equally singular dessert.

The flavoured whiskey carries the scent of natural peanut butter flavours, laced with vanilla and caramel popcorn blended in North American whiskey. If you want to drink it neat you can do so at Peanut Butter Bar, but it’s best served as a chilled shot or over ice.

Other dishes on the Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey takeover menu include a juicy double brisket cheeseburger made with caramelised onion, a slow-cooked rack of pork ribs based and coated with in-house BBQ sauce, and some Kentucky-loving southern fried chicken strips with liquid American cheese.

You’ll be able to grab some bespoke cocktails when you head along as well, such as the Lucifer’s Kiss with Bailey’s red velvet cream, the Smooth & Sexy with Angostura bitters and creme de cacao served with soda, and the Not an Irish (Irish) Coffee, which is a latte with a shot of Sheep Dog and whipped cream.
