A whiskey and ice cream pop-up is coming to Darlinghurst’s The Mayflower

One of Sydney’s most upscale cafes, The Mayflower Darlinghurst, is paying tribute to the odd combination of whisky and peanut butter with a summer-ready pop-up bar exclusively dedicated to espresso martinis and ice cream.

Yes, it may sound like a strange shot in any season, but Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey and Elato Ice Cream are both brands who demand something a bit different. Together, they’ve partnered with The Mayflower on this temporary treat, which will be pushing a happy hour between 5:30 PM and 8 PM every Thursday.

It seems like the pop-up was inspired by Federol’s wine and ice cream experience, which was a temporary installation on the streets of Paris and recently went viral on social media. The organisers have mirrored this by going further into the street-party vibe, with ice cream carts and music fueling the atmosphere while the kitchen pumps out peanut butter whiskey espresso martinis (wooftinis) and vanilla, fig-ripple and vegan chocolate flavoured ice cream. You’ll even be able to mix the two with a Woofogato – Sheep Dog poured over ice cream.

The wooftini and ice-cream combo will set you back just $20 while the Wooftini will be $15. Not a bad way to spend a few hours of pure indulgence in November.

The pop-up will begin on Thursday 2nd November with all of the exclusive creations free for the first 500 customers. It will then return every Thursday for four weeks throughout November.
