Lizzo makes history at Bonnaroo 2020 while a few Aussies get set to head to Tennessee

Bonnaroo’s 2020 lineup brought big surprises and a really big moment in the history of the festival. Lizzo will be the first female headliner in its 18-year history.

This marks a major moment for the Tennessee festival, and Lizzo isn’t the only lady leading quite the feminine movement at the top of the lineup; Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Ray, Megan Thee Stallion, and Grace Potter all find themselves top-billed on a lineup that is surprising, exciting, and has the many Roovians across the world counting down till June.

Lizzo joins Tool and Australia’s own Tame Impala as the main headliners for the four-day fest that takes place on the farmlands of Tennessee. From June 11 to June 14, over 100 bands and 100,000 people will flock to “The Farm” for 7 plus stages of music, art, food, and good times.

Tame Impala isn’t the only Aussie band making the trek to Middle-America. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Tones and I, and Flume all will be there. With Flume receiving second billing on Saturday night and a good bet to achieve one of the biggest crowds of the entire festival.

Other highlights of the festival include the return of Glass Animals on a jam-packed Friday night that includes Tool and Miley headlining but also, Bassnectar, 1975, Run the Jewels, Young the Giant, Brittany Howard, Primus and Dashboard Confessional.

2017 Falls Festival – Flume

Saturday’s is headlined by Lizzo and Flume but also features the Jam Superband Oysterhead, Tenacious D, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Dababy, J.I.D., Denzel Curry and Nelly, performing all of Country Grammer. All the early 2000’s hip hop fans are going to be quite pumped for that show.

Even though Sunday is the last day of the festival, it is sure to go out with a massive bang. Tame Impala headlines a day filled with just about everything ranging from Lana Del Ray, to Vampire Weekend, to Young Thug, to Leon Bridges, to Flogging Molly, and Rezz.

Tickets go on sale Thursday online. The festival takes place June 11-14 in Manchester, Tennessee.
