PAX AUS starts this week! It seems like only yesterday the doors closed on the most incredible event PAX has delivered in Australia so far, so the hype for this year’s event is off the charts! Being the 10th anniversary, the celebrations have already started with a ton of things to do to make sure you get the most out of your PAX weekend.
The PAX AUS App is now live! I would definitely recommend downloading it before the event and using it to create a schedule so you don’t miss all of the tournaments, talks and action over the weekend, via the iOS store here, and the Google Play store here. The world map is also great to have handy on your phone so you can navigate your way across the huge expo floor as it is quite spread out.

Collecting pins is a big part of PAX AUS culture. With that said, the iconic Pin Chicken will return this year with Pinny McFly with an epic mullet and walkman, it is the ultimate throwback that will be available in the Queue Hall daily from 3 pm-3:30 pm. Make sure you get there early, you do not want to miss it.
Optus is bringing the big questions with a panel on cloud gaming in Australia. While the rest of the world seemingly has a great relationship with it, we still seem to be able to get it off the ground. Optus Gaming director Nathan Gowdie will be joined by Pentanet CEO Stephen Cornish, LiveWire CEO Brad Manuel and Streamer Develique.
Plaion will be bringing their Atari 2600+ console refurb to the gaming area for fans to get their first glimpse of. The modern-day recreation of the classic 1077 console is launching worldwide on November 17.
Nintendo is bringing the goods with plenty of upcoming titles to play like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Detective Pikachu Returns, Pokemon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1 and the big one, Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
